Thor Johnson Photo’s
December 2005

Here is me in 472PM winter 1995 taken by my friend, then maintenance director for Taquan, Chip Wisner.  Chip is now with the FAA in Juneau and I see is a recent contributor of photos to your site.

N28TH departing the airport dock in Ketchikan in the summer of 1990. Tony Dupee is at the controls.  As I remember this Otter came to Ketchikan from Canada sometime in 1989 purchased by Temsco Helicopters.  She went to Wings in Juneau after Temsco got out of airplanes.

Here is 382BH (382) sitting on Heckman Lake outside of Ketchikan probably sometime in the summer of 1996.  Sorry about the pic quality.  We were hauling in building materials for a cabin under construction.  I believe this was the first Otter to be turbinized by Taquan

Couple of shots of Ward Air's turbine based in Juneau. I caught her in Ketchikan one rainy day in the summer of 2003.

Here is a shot of N270PA that I took at Yes Bay Lodge outside of Ketchikan in the summer of 2003.  I had taken a leave of absence from UPS that summer to return to my roots.

This shot has all 4 turbines operated by ProMech in the summer of 2003 making a pickup at Waterfall resort on the outside of Prince of Wales Island.  I'm taking the shot from 409PA. Taxiing is 595PA.  At the dock are 362KA and 270PA.

Here is a 2100lb load of fish hauled in from Waterfall resort at the airport dock in Ketchikan.  Summer 2003.
Makes for a sore back!
